Things to do in Hajj Umrah

  • Convey Assalamulaikum to all Peoples. (Let us increase our love for each other with this simple formula. Loving our brothers and sisters, will help us gain eeman/belief and belief is the key to Paradise. Additional recommended etiquettes of greeting are that,    "The younger person should greet the older one, and the walking person should greet the sitting one, and the small number of persons should greet the large number of persons." [Sahih Bukhari] )
  • If someone say Assalamulaikum reply to them Walaikumsalam. (The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: The rights of one Muslim over another are five: returning the greeting of salaam(Assalamulaikum) or replying greeting (Walaikumsalam), visiting the sick, attending funerals, accepting invitations, and saying yarhamuk Allah (may Allah have mercy on you) to one who sneezes. [Al-Bukhaaree, Muslim] )
  • Be Patience, Dont be anger. (Allaah has made forgiveness and reward conditional upon doing righteous deeds and being patient, and that is easy for the one for whom He makes it easy. Allaah says:  “Except those who show patience and do righteous good deeds: those, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward (Paradise)” [Hood 11:11] )
  • Smile Always.  (Jarir ibn Abdullah said: “I did not see the Prophet, since I embraced Islam, without a smile on his face. I saw him smiling when he could not see me and he would smile in my presence.” [Sahih Bukhari] )
(Prophet Muhammad regarded smiling to a brother as an act of charity.” (At-Tirmidhi, 3641) )

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), was well-known for his congenial nature and smile. One such Hadith, narrated by Jarir ibn Abdullah Al-Bajali states: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) never refused to see me from the time I became Muslim, and whenever he saw me he would smile at me…” (Ibn Majah, 159)

“Your smile for your brother is charity.”
  • Recite talbiyah loudly, encouraging others (Only Men, Women only reciete softly).

( Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “He will not enter Paradise whose neighbour is not secure from his wrongful conduct.” [Muslim]  Do you even know who your neighbour is? Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “If you are kind to your neighbour you will be a believer.” [Tirmidhi] )
  • Lower your gaze. Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Beware, … for what else throws men into the Fire upon their faces or upon their noses, but the harvests of their tongues.” [Tirmidhi]
  • Remind people of the lives of the Sahaabah
  • Read Qur’an with the Tafseer
  • Participate Quran Thajweed Halqa Inside Haram
  • Do the authentic Dhikr of the morning and evening
  • Recite Ithiqaf Dua when ever you enter the Masjid
  • Help the elders peoples.
  • Make more Nafil tawaf.
Abdullah ibn Abbas (RA) narrates that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “One hundred and twenty mercies from Allah descend upon the Ka‘bah every day and night; sixty for those who are performing Tawaf, forty for those who are engaged in Salah and twenty for those who are merely looking at the Ka‘bah.” (Tabrani)

Abdullah ibn Umar (RA) narrated that he heard the Prophet (PBUH) saying, “Whoever performs Tawaf around the Ka’bah and prayed two rak’ahs, it is as if he set a slave free.” (Sunan Ibne Majah)

Abdullah ibn Abbas (RA) reported that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “The Black Stone would be resurrected on the Day of Judgment with two eyes with which it will see and a tongue with which it will speak, and would be a witness to those who sincerely kissed it.” (Sunan Ibne Majah & Sunan Tirmidhi)

Abdullah ibn Umar (RA) narrated that he heard the Prophet (PBUH) saying: ‘Touching the two stones (al-Hajar al-Aswad and al-Rukn al-Yamani) removes the sins.” (Sunan Tirmidhi)

Tawaf:Circumambulatingthe Ka’bah seven times along with performing two rak’ahs of Salah is called Tawaf. Every circumambulation begins with istilam (kissing or touching) the Black Stone and ends at it. Kissing the Black Stone or waving both or only right hand towards it is called istilam. Tawaf, whether Fardh, Wajib or Nafl, comprises seven circumambulations. After that, two rak’ahs of Salah are performed. It takes approximately thirty minutes, if the Tawaf is performed at a place closer to the Ka’bah. But if it is done from far away, it may take one to two hours. It sometimes takes even more time specially while performing Tawafal-Ziyaraton the tenth Dhul-Hijjah.

Things to do in Hajj Umrah

Ibn ‘Abbaas, that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Tawaaf around the House is like prayer, except that you may speak during it. So whoever speaks during it, let him not speak of anything but what is good.”
  • Dont broke people Heart.  ( Abd Allah ibn `Amr ibn al-`As (Allah be well pleased with him) that he said: “I saw the Messenger of Allah (saw) performing tawaf around the Holy Ka`ba saying to it: ‘how pure and good you are! how pure and good your fragrance is! how great and exalted you are! and how great and exalted your sanctity is! But by Him in Whose hand is Muhammad’s soul, the sanctity of a believer’s blood and property in the sight of Allah is greater than your sanctity!’“ ) (Ibn Maja)
  • Dont rush or push peoples in Crowd Area.
  • Remind people of patience, why they came here, and the example of our Ulumaa’ in Hajj
  • Explain the importance of purifying ones actions for the sake of Allah
  • Make dua for Ummah Of Prophet Mohammed (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam).
  • Don’t allow Muslims to fight during Hajj
  • Help people find a place to sleep. ( Anas reported that the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "Help your brother, wronging or wronged." A man said, "Messenger of Allah, I can help him if he is wronged but tell me how I can help him if he is wronging?" He (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "You can restrain him - or prevent him - from injustice. That is helping him." [Sahih Bukhari]  )
  • Remind people to go home as better Muslims
  • Forgive people that wrong you, ( Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “He who does not show mercy to people, Allah also does not show mercy to him.” [Bukhari].   When we want to be mean to somebody or punish them, we are able to give ourselves a hundred justifications for it. This hadith gives us one huge compelling reason to put our anger and meanness aside, and practice forgiveness and gentleness instead. No one can do without Allah's mercy, so don't shut the door of goodness on yourself by being petty with others. It's not worth it! )
  • Talk to different people from different countries

  • Do Lot Dua for others, Family and For you.

Foreign Hajj Fee Still Same Last 52 Years

The fee for Haj per foreign pilgrim has not changed for the last 52 years, despite the global inflation rate steadily increasing every year.

A royal decree was issued in 1385 A.H., limiting the Haj fee to only about SR214 per foreign pilgrim. Since then, Tawafa institutions have been charging the same amount.

Foreign Hajj Fee Still Same Last 52 Years
The fee covers the service offices and the accommodation of pilgrims at the holy sites. However, Haj delegations, Haj affairs offices and organizers in each country are responsible for providing housing in Makkah and Madinah, as per the contracts signed.

Osama Zawawi, vice chairman of Tawafa responsible for Turkey as well as Europe, America and Australia, stressed that Tawafa seeks to continuously improve the services it offers pilgrims.

According to rough calculations, he said, the actual cost of services provided to pilgrims at the holy sites should be SR1,050 each, which is almost five times the fee being charged today.

Zawawi said that Tawafa strives to offer best services in order to achieve high levels of satisfaction among pilgrims, explaining that the organization supervises, manages and follows up on the distribution of housing units to all pilgrims.

Foreign Hajj Fee Still Same Last 52 YearsMahmoud Damanhouri, member of the civil institution for Tawafa, said there are additional pilgrimage-related services, such as food, air-conditioning and arrangements inside tents. “These function according to the supply and demand mechanism, and cater to pilgrims with varying financial abilities.”

The cost of these services is paid to the institution according to the contracts and agreements signed, which are supervised by the Ministry of Haj and Umrah, he said.

Haramain Train Project Life Span

The expected lifespan of the Haramain Train project is 120 years, says the director general of the project, Bassam Ghalman.

The project, which began in 2009, is near completion after finalization of work at the Jeddah and Madinah stations. Work on the Makkah station was stalled for seven months after licenses were withdrawn from the Binladen Group after the crane collapse at the Grand Mosque.

Ghalman shared insight and details about the project during his meeting with 30 engineers as part of the Saudi Association of Engineers’ Al-Omran Forum.

He said the Jeddah station is 97 percent complete, and trial runs are ongoing.

Haramain Train Project Life Span

He said seven trains per hour will operate between Makkah and Jeddah, while two trains per hour will operate between Makkah and Madinah. On average, 36 trains carrying around 15,000 passengers will operate each day between Makkah and Madinah.

Passenger stations were established in the three cities, all linked to the public transport system as bus stations have also been set up at these stations. Twenty young Saudis received training under the project outside the Kingdom to run these trains, as the project commits to its plan to nationalize positions.

Ghalman said the project faced many challenges since creation of engineering plans for construction and building. Some have called the plans “too expansive” he said, but asserted that the plans have addressed and mitigated risks associated with flooding. Many local and international officials have visited the project sites and have praised its expansive scope, he said, condemning rumors and inaccurate claims on social media and other media outlets that have criticized project officials and minimized efforts.

The 480-km-long train project will link the holy sites to other surrounding cities, thus facilitating travel for pilgrims and Umrah visitors.

This is especially beneficial as local studies predict the number of pilgrims to increase to 6 million pilgrims over the next 25 years.

The Makkah governorate previously announced that 90 percent of the project was completed, and the first phase of the Madinah to Jeddah portion was expected to be completed by the end of this year. The portion from Jeddah to Makkah is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
